The R.E.T.A.R.D. is the Real-time Equalizing Transmogrifying Audio Routing Device. Its purpose is to act as an audio multiplexer of sorts, with functionality including volume controls, equalizers, and a simple impulse response filter. It will be controllable through both physical interface and UDP. More information (including specifications and code) will be documented on this site as it is created. A simple diagram documenting the function of the R.E.T.A.R.D. is shown below. After the R.E.T.A.R.D. is successfully designed, it will be physically implemented and will function in its designer's room as an audio router, a catalyst for technical conversation, and an added fire hazard. |
